Responsibilities:

  • Direct, guide and manage the overall Maybank Investment Bank Berhad (MIBB) Finance Operations and Treasury functions.
  • Ensure proper Accounting, Financial, Regulatory and Management Reporting are timely and accurate, presented in a true and fair view of the state of affair of the Bank in order to support the Management in formulation of business strategy and decision making in the process of increasing the shareholders’ value.
  • Ensure MIBB Treasury Operations, Accounts Payable as well as Derivatives operations works well and delivers excellent performance.
  • To provide financial advice, where required, for all key Management decisions & assist in developing business goals, tactical plans in achieving business objectives within the Units.
  • Participating and key contributor in the annual budget planning exercise with regards to target setting, development of action plans and allocation of resource towards achievement of both short term and strategic goals.
  • Ensuring adoption of Finance’s policies and procedures that are effective and efficient, and in line with the relevant regulatory requirements in Malaysia, ensuring that the proper monitoring and controls are in place. Such policies and procedures include but are not limited to those concerning accounting, controls, process improvement, budgeting and planning, financial analysis, project management, tax planning and management, reporting (management reporting and statutory reporting).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance operations or a related field.
  • Driving change and improvement.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills.
  • Strong knowledge of finance processes, policies and compliance standards.
