Sarawak Biovalley Pilot Plant, located in Miri, Sarawak, is a two-story research and development institute specializing in bio-based products and processes. The facility offers R&D support to industries in phytochemical and bio-processes, equipped with state-of-the-art testing and development equipment for product analysis, enhancement, and upscaling. With dedicated labs and spaces for experimental flows, the facility provides a conducive environment for research, training, and consultancy.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Research Officer at Sarawak Biovalley Pilot Plant in Miri. The Research Officer will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing data, writing reports, and utilizing statistical techniques to support the development of bio-based products and processes. Additionally, the Research Officer will be involved in communication with industry partners and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • At least a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, etc.) approved by the Malaysian Government.
  • Candidate must possess at least a “C” in Bahasa Malaysia and English for their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia'
  • Candidate with related experiences is preferable.
  • Knowledge of bio-based products and processes is a plus
  • Analytical Skills, Statistics, and Research skills.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Experience in report writing.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis
  • Knowledge of bio-based products and processes is a plus.
