- Food Preparation: Assist in basic food preparation.
- Cooking Assistance: Help chefs with cooking tasks. Plate and garnish dishes as directed by the chef. Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of cooking stations.
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Wash and clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes. Keep the kitchen clean and organized, including counters, floors, and storage areas. Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Stock Management: Assist with receiving and storing food supplies. Report low stock or any issues with food quality to the chef. Help in organizing kitchen inventory.
- Team Support: Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Perform other tasks as assigned by the chef or supervisor.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all food items are prepared according to safety and hygiene standards to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work on weekends and holidays.
- Understanding of kitchen safety and hygiene standards.
- Physical stamina to stand for long hours and carry heavy items.
- Prior experience in a kitchen is a must.
