Job Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Assist in developing and executing company goals, budgets, and operational processes in alignment with corporate policies and vision. Actively contribute to strategic discussions and ensure alignment across business units.
  • High-ranking Management Visitation Coordination: Lead the coordination of VIP visits, including liaising with various departments to ensure a seamless experience. This includes managing logistics, presentations, and relationship building with key stakeholders such as senior management from HQ & other regions.
  • Executive Support: Prepare high-quality materials, reports, and presentations for executive leadership and board meetings. Ensure that all content is aligned with corporate objectives and presented in a professional and timely manner.
  • Liaison with HQ: Serve as the primary point of contact for requests from Japan headquarters, including the collection, preparation, and submission of key documents. Manage communication to ensure clarity, timeliness, and adherence to corporate standards.
  • Collaboration & Alignment of Goals: Lead strategic discussions and foster collaboration with HQ in Japan and affiliates across the Asean-Oceania region. Ensure alignment of Daikin Malaysia’s corporate strategies, operations, and financial initiatives, with regional and global policies and direction.
  • Organizational Communication: Facilitate group communication on leadership and business initiatives, especially across Management members in the country. Ensure that all leaders across the organization are aligned on strategy, financial goals, and operational direction through structured communication channels, such as quarterly business reviews, strategy meetings, and regular reporting.
  • Recognition: Works on recognition programs originating from Japan HQ such as COO and GOD Awards, creating a structured process to adequately recognise local talents.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline would be an added advantage.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate planning, strategic management, or a related field. Previous experience in multinational corporations or large-scale organizations is preferred.
  • Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in both Japanese and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • International Experience: Experience working abroad or in multinational environments is highly desirable. Familiarity with the business culture in Japan and the ASEAN-Oceania region is advantageous.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    o Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate corporate goals into actionable plans.
    o Proven ability to lead negotiations and collaborate across regions, particularly with Japanese headquarters and affiliates.
    o Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
    o High proficiency in preparing executive-level presentations and reports.
    o Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and foster leadership alignment within diverse teams.
