Skills and Qualifications

  • Educational Background: A diploma/ degree in fashion merchandising, business, or a related field is typically preferred.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to interpret sales data and market trends. Microsoft office in excel is a must.
  • Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills to secure the best prices and terms from suppliers.
  • Creativity: A keen eye for fashion and trends to select appealing products especially on menswear.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.

    Work Environment

    Fashion buyers typically work in office settings, but they may also travel to fashion shows, trade shows, and supplier locations to scout new products and trends.
