Mitsubishi Elevator Malaysia Sdn Bhd (MELM) is seeking a motivated and dynamic Costing & Procurement Assistant!


Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan implement and control the functional activities assigned to the post by the direction of the immediate superior in the most cost-effective and efficient manner
  • To obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers before negotiating for a competitive price in the purchase of equipment and parts
  • To assist in costing activities
  • To enter purchasing information into the LN Infor System/Salesforce and master list
  • To issue Purchase Orders to approved suppliers and sub-contractors
  • To attend to enquiries from the Installation department, Maintenance Sales and Sales Department
  • To prepare all related documentation for the works order
  • To arrange a delivery schedule with the Logistic Section, PIC of the Installation department and Branches
  • To generate monthly and yearly purchasing reports and compile other reports as required
  • To attend to any duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the immediate superior or the Management from time to time

Job Requirements:

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Supply Change Management/Logistics or any other related field.
  • At least 2 years of related sales experience in the engineering industry.
  • Experience in vertical transportation (i.e. elevators) will be an added advantage.
  • Good communication skills with proficiency in English are required.
  • Positive attitude, self-starter, results-oriented, good presentation and time management skills.
  • Possess good writing skills in English.
  • Have the initiative to work under minor supervision.
