Purpose of the Position:

To operate the assigned Plant and be responsible in the production planning of the plant to meet sales demands and forecasts. This person shall take an active role in the maintenance and turnaround activities of the plant, and its day-to-day issues. The person shall be the technical matters related point of contact from client and is expected to undertake project related matters pertaining to the assigned Plant operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the plant operations, and all of its on-site personnel, including but not limited to external personnel, are in a safe condition.
  • Responsible in optimizing and monitoring the assigned Plant & equipment(s) and ensuring its smooth operation. Plant tuning and planning to ensure production costs are optimized and products are within specifications.
  • Responsible in maintenance and turnaround activities planning, ensuring the plant is routinely serviced to meet optimal running conditions.
  • Frequent inspections and pre-emptive assessment of plant conditions to prevent catastrophic breakdowns.
  • Responsible in tabulating and production reporting and planning matters, as well as interpretation of data to report plant health status and efficiency necessary for plant monitoring and reports.
  • Involve in the execution of customer on-site installations, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting works.
  • Responsible to address to customer’s enquiries pertaining to operations, supply & delivery planning, and also technical related matters. To work with Sales team in achieving smooth supply operations to customer.
  • Responsible in guiding, coaching, and monitoring the team of Plant Operators. Work with other operations team member (e.g. technician, electrical, process, reliability) in ensuring the targeted deliverables for the Plant is met.
  • Subject to company-wide programs management requirements, to undertake projects execution tasks related to plant upgradation or addition.
  • Executes the project engineering strategies for business case fulfillment and on all technical matters of the project.
  • Ensures that the design is in accordance with the applicable design rules, codes & standards, local regulations and good engineering practices.
  • Responsible for the Project Engineering budget including cost of subcontracted equipment and services.
  • Responsible to optimize technical solutions, budgets, and project schedule.

    • Job Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably majoring in Engineering, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or a related technical field.
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, including 2 to 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Preferably possesses an understanding of the chemicals / industrial gas process technology including but not limited to air gases, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, natural gas, gas mixtures and rare gases.
  • Business proficiency level in English and Malay is preferred. Mandarin language proficiency will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
  • Willing to travel for work.
  • Ability to apply information from relevant sources and draw insights from individual technology’s boundaries, to design practical and scalable solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and in a team, contributes on improving technology and being able to share the knowledge with each other.
  • Work base location in Serendah, Selangor.
