Maintenance Technician cum Handyman

Job Purpose

To maintain the facilities of the YMCA in proper working condition which covers all electrical equipment including sound systems, audio/video, lights, air conditioners, water taps, piping and setting up of function hall / rooms.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

1. To be responsible for the building maintenance.

2. To carry out regular planned guestroom servicing program for air-conditioners, water heaters, televisions & remote controls and light bulbs.

3. To inspect all breakdown of equipment/damage of property for repair or rectification.

4. To ensure functional condition of all alarm systems and fire fighting equipment.

5. To co-ordinate and if requested, supervises special projects and employment of outside contractors.

6. To establish and maintain a well organized engineering store and monitor consumption of material, store and inventory control.

7. To inspect at least twice monthly, the entire building with particular attention defective or deficient condition on all operating equipment.

8. To supervise maintenance of the car park, grounds, courts and walkways.

9. To inspect, clean, maintain and repair all banquet equipment ie. sound system, audio visual, lighting equipment, video system and furniture & fittings and etc.
