  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

As an IT Engineer within our Infrastructure & Operations division and reporting directly to the IT Manager and concurrently to the Plant head, this role is pivotal in delivering technical services, processes, standards, and tools to ensure consistent and highly reliable IT services to F&N AgriValley business unit in GEMAS.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide desktop support to users, ensuring effective resolution of technical issues.
  • Utilize monitoring, network diagnostics, and network analytics tools to maintain optimal network performance, with a strong understanding of network and wireless technologies.
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of IT assets, from acquisition to disposal, ensuring meticulous record-keeping within the Asset Management System.
  • Source and liaise with IT vendors for procurement, delivery, payment, and support-related matters.
  • Assist in delivering IT end-user training sessions as required.
  • Maintain and update systems of records with accuracy and organization.
  • Perform System administration duties for Farm related systems
  • This position is based in GEMAS plant.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications in ITIL and Networking are advantageous.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in IT, demonstrating advanced technical knowledge of current technologies and industry trends.
  • Proficiency in general IT support, including Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, and Google Cloud.
  • Experience with networking (WAN, LAN, and Wireless) and helpdesk systems.
  • Strong command of spoken and written English.
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills, with a collaborative team-oriented approach.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • An eagerness to learn and a positive attitude towards professional development.
