Responsibilities
- To conduct site safety meetings regularly and will propose suggestions to improve further the safe working practices to the SHO and Project Manager.
- To implement training sections, tool box talks, employee induction and safety briefing for new employees or on regular basis throughout the construction period.
- To ensure that each new employee is issued with, and signs for personal protective equipment such as hard hats and safety boots suitable and appropriate for his job.
- Liaise with Sub-Contractors ' Safety Representative on a regular basis if required.
- To conduct safety and health inspection with sub-contractor 's Safety Representative on work areas, make observations, record and sign off the inspection form and then make necessary improvements to ensure that safe working practices are observed.
- To ensure that first aid kits are available at the various work area and must always be adequately stocked.
- To investigate and prepare report for all accidents / incidents. To report the accident to police and DOSH as required.
- All practical precautions shall be taken to prevent any danger to the workmen, equipment or the workplace either by provision of adequate and suitably placed barrier or netting.
Requirement
- Qualifications : Diploma in relevant discipline, Hold Yellow Book registration from DOSH
- Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years working experience
- Specific skills/abilities : Safety and Health background
- Personal qualities : Able to work independently, able to communicate effectively.
