Key Responsibilities:
- Review client account opening documentation and validate self-certification forms, ensuring the appropriate classification aligns with the client's business model and meets tax regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, controls, training, and risk management protocols.
- Oversee the validation of tax forms (self-certifications) and related documentation in accordance with local FATCA and CRS regulations.
- Monitor the collection of self-certification and other tax-related information.
- Clearly communicate FATCA/CRS remediation requirements to internal stakeholders to effectively address related issues and inquiries.
- Assist in the internal review/testing of the final return before submission to the Tax Authority, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Develop and update procedures and policies for key functions within the regulatory reporting department, conducting annual reviews.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
- Background in Compliance and Regulatory (tax) within the financial services sector.
- Experience in the financial industry, specifically in a Compliance or Regulatory role.
- Familiarity with KYC/AML, FATCA, and CRS regulations.
- Preferred experience in remediation processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven management and supervisory skills.
