- Facilitate and ensure seamless integration with both regional and global procurement operations.
- Develop, communicate, and implement a procurement strategy that aligns the procurement function with overall business objectives while providing operational support to enhance business competitiveness.
- Provide strong leadership for the procurement function, ensuring clear and effective communication within the team and across the organization.
- Ensure the procurement team collaborates closely with operational and technical experts in developing specifications for goods and services.
- Support the recruitment and selection of procurement candidates based on defined job descriptions.
- Facilitate effective communication regarding purchasing processes and systems within the organization. Enhance long-term business capabilities by identifying, leading, and delivering training and development in procurement-related processes and systems.
- Create a detailed spend map that prioritizes key procurement improvement initiatives, aligned with business objectives.
- Optimize existing purchasing processes and policies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support the establishment of appropriate controls, including budget management and KPI tracking.
- Collaborate with IT to enhance existing platforms related to procurement processes and controls.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements by implementing group guidelines, conducting training sessions, and monitoring adherence.
- Proactively manage the health and safety of employees, continually seeking to improve the company's health and safety performance.
- Perform other duties as required in addition to the primary responsibilities outlined above.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Business
- 7-8 years of team management experience within Procurement or similar function
- Applicant with experience in Manufacturing Purchasing is added advantage
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Excellent negotiation skills with suppliers
- Strong interpersonal and people management skills
- Good in MS.Office
- Applicants with SAP system is added advantage
