Support the superior in the overall marketing and communication programs which may include strategy development, program implementation and evaluation, as well as budgetary control to build a strong and unified shopping mall brand.

Job Responsibilities

  • To execute and coordinate a variety of marketing, promotion and thematic events to enhance the shopper traffic in the specific month(s) as assigned by the superior.
  • To assist and monitor various marketing and communication activities to support the generation of revenue as well as development of a strong position for the mall in the industry.
  • To ensure the successful lease out of the mall’s promotional spaces, advertising panels, push carts etc for revenues and in accordance with the standard SOPs.
  • To co-ordinate a variety of marketing, promotion and thematic events which include creative concept and design ideas to enhance the shoppers’ traffic to the mall.
  • To assist and execute effective digital marketing campaigns using social media, influences, bloggers etc to deliver information and key messages to the public.
  • To upload the approved contents, photos and relevant information to the mall's Website, Social Media Applications. Ensure that the layout of the content is accessible and logical; recommend improvements if necessary.
  • To provide photography and video for all mall wide events / promo / activities.
  • To communicate and update Mall events information.
  • Liaise and work closely with tenants, contractors, and event companies to ensure successful execution of projects and events.
  • To monitor public feedback and recommend improvement measures to project good image of the mall in customer service.
  • To assist the production of marketing materials, posters, flyers, bunting, etc.
  • To establish and maintain effective working relationships and contacts internally and externally, including the press, media and industry bodies.
  • Perform post mortem after the events and make recommendations for any improvement plans.
  • To perform ad hoc duties as assigned by the superior.

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Possess at least a Diploma in Mass Communications or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience of working experience in the shopping mall / event industry or any related field.
  • Possess good knowledge and experience in marketing and event management.
  • Knowledge of advertising, public relations, media, corporate branding or graphic design would be an added advantage.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
