Job Description :

  • Contractor HSE Management – Pre-mobilisation inspection, pre-mobilisation induction, contract HSSE plan preparation, review and monitoring, and contractor HSSE assurance activities.
  • Drive and monitor implementation of “success-linked” activities such as Unsafe Act Unsafe Condition (UAUC), Reflective Learning/Learning From Incident/Behavioural Safety Moments, proactive intervention culture etc. in the teams and contractors operations.
  • Mobilised during offshore campaigns as Safety Coach.
  • Drive and plan joint HSSE site visits involving both contractors and company leadership.
  • Participate in workpack challenge sessions i.e. SIMOPS, Hazards Identification (HAZID) & Site Specific Procedure review session.
  • Review & monitor implementation of contractor HSE management system & annual HSSE plan.
  • Conduct assurance on site Emergency Response (ER) team training, assessment, and drills completion to maintain effective level of ER preparedness and readiness.
  • Organise training programme in conjunction with the site OIM to capture all site personnel.
  • Prepare plan & coordinate the emergency exercise Calendar as part of SMEP Corporate HSE Plan.
  • Manage the upkeep and upgrading of the IMC facilities including all communication equipment, computers, ERS System, reference materials, etc to ensure that all the facilities are in good working condition at all time.
  • To advise line on fire protection strategy and plan & carry out periodic inspection with operating area and prepare report and recommendation.
  • Act as additional resource to deliver SMEP ER processes e.g. plan & coordinate the emergency exercise Calendar as part of SMEP Corporate HSE Plan.

Qualification :

  • Possess a recognized degree in any engineering discipline or possess Safety and Health certificate by NIOSH or recognized Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent Technical/Engineering Diploma.
  • Proficient in English/Bahasa Melayu (both verbal and written).
  • Undergone incident investigation course will be an advantage.
  • Possess a DOSH certified SHO (green book holder) will be an advantage.

Work Experience :

  • At least 5 years working experience as HSSE professional preferably in Project/Construction/Plant Maintenance works with Oil & Gas industry.
  • Knowledgeable in the Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA) and related legislations in Malaysia.
  • Knowledgeable in HSSE risk management e.g. Permit To Work (PTW) & Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) processes and preparation.
  • Proven ability to manage performance, competence, HSE plan of contractors.
  • Proven ability to engage, manage change and deploy HSE Improvement tools and initiatives across the organization.
  • Key Competencies include interpersonal (relationship, networking), influencing and negotiating skills.

Other requirement :

  • Local Sarawakian or Sabahan is PREFFERED.
