Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in the timely and accurate preparation of monthly management accounts closing for RHB Bank Domestic, ensuring adherence to established processes and reporting timelines.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly amalgamation management accounts, consolidating the results of overseas branches and performing interbranch elimination to provide a comprehensive view of the Bank's financial performance.
  • Preparation of monthly consolidated accounts, collaborating with various entities and subsidiaries in the Group to ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with approved accounting standards and guidelines.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of the Bank's and Group’s monthly financial performance, comparing actual results month-on-month, quarter-on-quarter, and year-on-year,
  • Take responsibility for the monthly flash results reporting for Management, conducting comprehensive performance analysis specifically for RHB Bank Labuan and RHB Insurance, providing valuable insights and highlighting key trends and areas of improvement.
  • Prepare the Group Financial Performance Report for monthly GMC meetings, RHB Bank Board Meetings, and quarterly BAC meetings, presenting accurate and insightful financial information to support decision-making.
  • Control and oversee all intercompany transactions and balances, serving as a key liaison with subsidiaries and branches to ensure accurate and complete elimination of intercompany transactions, and conducting regular reconciliations to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation of MFRS 7 disclosures for audited financial statements for Bank, Islamic, and Group entities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during the periodic audit of financial reports, providing necessary support and addressing any audit-related queries or requirements.
  • Plan, facilitate, and manage the Group's and subsidiaries’ annual statutory audit process, and condensed quarterly interim financial statements, ensuring timely completion of the audit and approval of the financial statements. Collaborate closely with external auditors, communicate effectively with all involved parties, and promptly address and resolve any audit issues.
  • Prepare and compile the BNM Statsmart yearly and quarterly Group submission, including detailed variance analysis as required by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).
  • Participate in ad hoc Group Corporate exercises and other projects related to financial reporting, conducting assessments of accounting implications and providing expertise and guidance.
  • Participate in discussions regarding new product development, offering valuable advice on accounting entries and other finance-related matters prior to product roll-out.
  • Assist in addressing any ad hoc finance-related matters requested by management, BNM, and other downstream stakeholders, providing timely and accurate information and support as needed.
  • Keep abreast of changes in financial accounting standards and guidelines, providing recommendations for adjustments or enhancements to processes and systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate/Diploma in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 to 5 years of working experience in related field, and preferably with consolidation knowledge
  • Familiar with accounting standards, regulatory and statutory reporting requirements
  • Good in computer skills (Words, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Resourceful, ability to work with team members and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadline
  • Strong analytical analysis skills
