Job Description

Project Management Methodology Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with standard project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Execution and Oversight:

  • Coordinate and manage the execution of program activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.
  • Monitor progress, track milestones, and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Engage and communicate with stakeholders at various levels, including executives, clients, team members, and external partners.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, provide regular updates, and address concerns or feedback.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to obtain formal acceptance of project deliverables.

Resource Management:

  • Allocate and manage project/program resources effectively, including budgets, personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of resources and monitor budgetary constraints.

Project Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess risks associated with the project and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Proactively monitor risks throughout the program lifecycle and implement contingency plans when necessary.
  • Identify and analyze risks and issues that need to be addressed within the program.
  • Execute corrective actions within the baseline program schedule and scope to ensure alignment with the targeted outcomes of Agenda 2025.

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams involved in the project.
  • Define roles and responsibilities, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions with team members to ensure continuous learning and improvement.
  • Provide mentorship and support to team members, encouraging professional development and skill enhancement.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Regularly monitor and evaluate program metrics, prepare progress reports, and present findings to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure the timely submission of project performance reports to the respective committee, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and next steps.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains within the program.
  • Implement best practices and lessons learned to enhance future program performance.

Benefit Realization:

  • Ensure project benefits are identified, mapped with strategic objectives, set baselines, measure progress, take corrective actions, and report to stakeholders.

Project Change Management:

  • Implement a change management process to manage modifications to project deliverables.

Corrective Actions:

  • Analyze project deviations and identify root causes of issues or delays.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans to address project challenges and prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and make necessary adjustments.
  • Communicate corrective action plans to relevant stakeholders and ensure alignment.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Economics / Accounting / Computer Science or any related discipline.
  • PMP certification or Prince 2 is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in banking project management preferably in banking or financial institution sector.
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.
  • Effective stakeholder management.
  • Critical, analytical and strategic thinking ability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills such as engagement and building relationship.
