Job Description

As a Core Systems Consultant, you will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing the core infrastructure within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, focusing on Active Directory (AD), Entra ID, and related services in hybrid environments. You will ensure security, resolve complex technical issues, and maintain system stability. Collaborating with IT teams across regions, you will also contribute to ongoing system improvements. Strong English communication skills are required due to the global nature of this role.

Responsibilities

• Active Directory and Entra ID Management: Oversee the administration and support of Active Directory and Entra ID, including user management, group policies, tenant licenses, and security configurations.
  
• Microsoft 365 Services: Manage core services such as Intune, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive, ensuring system integrity and compliance.
  
• Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to AD, Entra ID, M365, and other systems to minimize disruptions.
  
• System Optimization: Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency and performance.
  
• Data Integrity and Recovery: Ensure data integrity and manage backup and recovery processes for critical systems like AD, Entra ID, and M365.
  
• System Upgrades and Migrations: Participate in planning and executing system upgrades and migrations, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal downtime.
  
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations and processes to support continuous improvement and team collaboration.
  
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional IT teams to design solutions, implement changes, and address business needs.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  
• Proven experience of at least 3 years as a Level 2-3 Administrator with advanced expertise in Active Directory (AD), Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 services.
  
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory administration, including user management, group policies, and security settings.
  
• Proficiency in managing Microsoft 365 services, including Intune, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
  
• Understanding of networking, DNS, certificates, authentication methods, and security principles related to AD and Microsoft 365.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues across core infrastructure.
  
• Strong English communication skills are required as you will collaborate with global teams. German language skills are a plus due to collaboration with teams in Germany and Switzerland.
  
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert are preferred.
