Job Description

Wurth IT Malaysia is seeking a Microsoft 365 Collaboration Engineer who combines technical expertise with a strong focus on customer engagement. In this role, you will fill the gap between the support teams and the technical engineers, leveraging your deep technical knowledge while maintaining close engagement with internal customers. You will provide advanced support for Microsoft 365 services -particularly SharePoint, Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), Teams, and Viva Suite -ensuring that customer needs are met with tailored, technical solutions. Based in Malaysia, you will be pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation and continuous enhancement of Microsoft 365 services across the Wuerth Group. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills, who can bridge the gap between technical problem-solving and customer-facing interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Microsoft 365 Expertise: Provide expert support and management of Microsoft 365 services, with a focus on SharePoint, Power Automate, Power Apps, Teams, and Viva Suite, ensuring seamless operation and alignment with business requirements.
  • Customer-Centric Problem Solving: Act as a trusted advisor to internal clients, solving complex technical issues and customizing Microsoft 365 tools to meet their evolving needs, while maintaining close engagement with end-users.
  • Technical Resolution: Investigate and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365 collaboration tools through a systematic, independent approach.
  • System Administration & Support: Actively contribute to system upgrades, migrations, and configuration changes for Microsoft 365 tools, ensuring seamless operations and alignment with global IT strategies.
  • Collaboration Champion: Actively participate in the “Modern Work Community”, promoting the adoption of Microsoft 365 tools, including Viva Suite, within the organization to foster a connected and collaborative workforce.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures. Provide training and support to end-users, facilitating seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Team Coordination: Work closely with various teams to gather requirements, propose solutions, and implement changes to meet evolving business needs, ensuring the Asia-Pacific region's perspectives are considered.

Customer Engagement & Success

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers, ensuring their ongoing success with Microsoft 365 services. Troubleshoot issues, understand operational challenges, and ensure customers fully leverage Microsoft tools to meet their business objectives.
  • Customer Needs: Work closely with internal customers to understand their requirements and ensure these are communicated effectively to the global IT team, facilitating the delivery of solutions that align with both customer needs and global IT strategies.
  • Proactive Problem Solving & Data-Driven Insights: Anticipate potential customer issues by analyzing data and usage patterns. Proactively address areas of concern, offering tailored technical solutions that improve customer satisfaction, reduce downtime, and drive optimizations for better outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint, Power Platform, Teams, and Viva Suite, with a strong track record of resolving complex technical issues, and 3 years of experience working with Microsoft 365 services in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation: Ability to use PowerShell for automating tasks and managing Microsoft 365 services, enhancing efficiency in administration and troubleshooting.
  • Independence & Problem Solving: Ability to work autonomously with a proactive approach to decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional proficiency in English and strong interpersonal skills. German language skills are a plus due to collaboration with teams in Germany and Switzerland.
  • Leadership Development: Potential to grow into leadership roles, including mentoring and guiding team members as the IT hub expands.
  • Global Experience: Experience working in global, cross-functional teams
