Job Description

The Commercial Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of business operations, developing external stakeholder relationship, market strategies, customer service initiatives, driving business growth, optimizing operations and ensuring the efficient delivery of services as well as managing expansion plan.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Contract Management
    Oversee and negotiate commercial contracts on behalf of the business development, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
    Optimize contract terms for profitability and risk management.
    Implement systems and procedures to ensure business sustainability and performance.
    Forecast sales and budgets, and implement innovative strategies/models, evaluating their effectiveness.
  • Business Development
    Identify and improve business processes within the BD department to support the company’s growth and expansion goals.
    Oversee continuous improvement initiatives and expansion plans in line with business objectives.
  • Project Coordination
    Ensure renewable energy projects are executed smoothly from initiation to completion.
    Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and external stakeholders.
    Ensure operations run smoothly and adhere to company policies and procedures.
    Achieve QPC (Quality, Productivity & Cost) objectives and targets.
  • Customer Relationship Management
    Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
    Address customer inquiries and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting
    Provide regular reports to senior management on commercial performance, operational issues, and strategic recommendations for improvement.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    Ensure all commercial activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
    Identify potential risks in commercial operations, including regulatory changes or operational challenges, and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Degree in Engineering / Finance or Business discipline. MBA will be an added advantage. At least 8-10 years of working experience from in similar capacity.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies such as solar or energy storage systems.
  • Preferably working experience in multinational company with standard practices; Experience in managing renewable energy organization or similar industries will be an added advantage.
  • Relevant Experience in business development in similar industries
  • Business savvy, with successful experience in techno-commercial business development
