UCT is looking for a talented Manager, Manufacturing to join us in Malaysia! The Manager, Manufacturing provides leadership to the manufacturing department including KPIs setting with goals driven, strategic planning and accountable for lines disciplines, efficiency & productivity, safety, quality, scrap reduction & avoidance and resource & cost optimization. They also identify and implement simple solutions to complex problems with hands-on and lead by example management style in fostering a culture of teamwork, shared values & mission and a dedication to excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In-charge and manage the manufacturing operations of UCTM.
  • Work with various functional teams to ensure production runs smoothly.
  • Plan and direct schedules to ensure production and shipment are on time.
  • Analyze manpower utilization, planning, production cycle count and process improvement.
  • Ensure smooth transition of new product introduction to manufacturing.
  • Manage all day-to-day manufacturing related activities. Set priorities, capacity planning, level loading strategies, and headcount assessments.
  • Review and oversee manufacturing line design for optimal efficiency.
  • Lead and a key driver for CIP.
  • Work closely with all support organizations (Materials, WH, Engineering, Quality, etc.) to resolve customer issues, mitigate delivery and schedule problems.
  • Support other adhoc duties and improvement projects assigned by by superior, HOD & management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent management and interpersonal skills.
  • Good team player and able to perform in fast paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of factory utilization and production efficiency.
  • Ability to work effectively with operations and other groups to ensure that site delivery and quality issues are met.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.

Experience Requirement:

  • Minimum 6 – 8 years relevant experience in manufacturing operations.
