Roles

POC Manager is responsible for the Operations team performance, people management and functional compliance while promoting a ‘one team’ spirit. Lead the Procurement operational excellence. Drive continuous improvement of Procurement capabilities and practices in alignment with the overall Asahi strategy and external benchmarks.

Accountabilities and deliverables

  • Implement the Procurement purpose, vision, strategies and governance.
  • Lead the Procurement Operations team with a focus on definition and execution of regional functional goals.
  • Promote a ‘one team’ spirit to enable sharing of best practices and knowledge.
  • Ensure employee engagement and well-being.
  • For Procurement Operations, ensure and monitor adherence to defined governance, policies, and processes.
  • Protect all company assets by putting in place internal control system and procedures.
  • Protect the reputation of Asahi by following applicable legislation.
  • Advocate and foster sustainable Procurement (incl. CSR) and procurement innovation strategies and projects.
  • Support creation and implementation of regional category strategies.
  • Manage and track Procurement Operations plans and budgets including objectives, key value drivers and related KPI’s.
  • Represent Procurement in relevant committees and governance bodies for specific agendas and for creating alignment across Procurement processes.
  • If applicable manage the respective Procurement cost centre, perform cost control activities, analyse cost effectiveness and define saving opportunities with the aim to ensure appropriate cost-performance-ratio and financial well-being of the function.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Procurement capabilities and practices in alignment with the overall Asahi strategy and external benchmarks.
  • Lead data management and reporting.

Qualification criteria

  • University degree, preferably in Business related field (Master degree preferred)
  • Proficiency in English (for Japan local language is a must)
  • 7+ years of professional experience, 3+ years of which in Procurement
  • International experience from a multinational company
  • 3+ years of proven managerial experience
  • Advanced MS office skills
  • Procurement platform/-s experience
