Role Description

1. Process Optimization and Improvement

a) Analyzing existing workflows to identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks.

b) Developing strategies to improve productivity, reduce waste, and minimize costs.

c) Implementing Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, or other process improvement techniques.

2. Project Management (Ex. Manufacturing Digitalization, Industrial 4.0 & etc)

a) Leading or contributing to large-scale projects aimed at enhancing operations or implementing new technologies.

b) Coordinating cross-functional teams (engineering, production, quality control) to ensure successful project execution.

c) Setting timelines, budgets, and performance metrics for improvement projects.

3. Systems and Workflow Design

a) Designing or redesigning production systems, facility layouts, and equipment to optimize efficiency.

b) Developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality across processes.

4. Data Analysis and Reporting

a) Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to production, quality, and operations.

b) Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and preparing reports on productivity, efficiency, and cost savings.

5. Cost Reduction and Efficiency Initiatives

a) Identifying opportunities for cost reduction in materials, labor, and equipment use.

b) Recommending strategies to streamline processes and enhance resource utilization.

c) Implementing automation or technology solutions to improve operational efficiency

6. Technology Integration

a) Evaluating and recommending the integration of new technologies, such as automation, robotics, and data analytics tools.

b) Leading efforts to implement smart manufacturing or Industry 4.0 initiatives..

Qualifications

1. Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

- Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt), or other process improvement methodologies are often beneficial.

2. Experience

- 5+ years of relevant work experience in industrial engineering, process improvement, or manufacturing.

- Proven experience in leading and managing process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

3. Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.

- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, Minitab, Power BI or other statistical analysis software.

- Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for facility layout and workflow design.

- Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (Microsoft D365) and production management software.

- Familiarity with automation technologies and Industry 4.0 principles (e.g., IoT, data analytics, robotics).
