The Role:

The Senior Program Manager will be responsible to lead and manage the execution of projects from concept through to completion. This role requires strategic oversight of multiple project teams, effective contract negotiation, cost management, and the assurance of timely delivery for multiple projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of project managers, providing strategic direction, coaching, and support to ensure successful project delivery across various initiatives.
  • Oversee the initiation of new projects, including conducting feasibility studies, defining project scope, and setting clear objectives and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Implement comprehensive project management frameworks to monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors, securing favorable terms that align with project and budgetary requirements.
  • Develop, manage, and oversee project schedules and timelines, coordinating with project managers to ensure customer requirements and key milestones, such as first article and mass production dates, are achieved.
  • Assess the business case and viability of projects by analyzing cost projections, engineering changes, and strategic objectives, while identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of open communication by maintaining strong connections with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and gathering feedback to ensure project transparency and alignment.
  • Ensure quality standards are met across all projects by implementing rigorous quality assurance processes and conducting regular evaluations to uphold the excellence of products or services.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the project management team, identifying best practices and implementing process enhancements to increase efficiency, optimize resource utilization, and improve project outcomes.
  • Act as a strategic leader within the department, contributing to the development of project management methodologies and guiding the team in achieving broader organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/ Mechatronic Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • More than 10 years of relevant working experience in project management, including leadership roles managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide teams, set clear objectives, and promote a culture of excellence and responsibility.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and assembly operations in the contract equipment manufacturing sector is an advantage.
  • Proven track record in project management leadership, with a history of successfully delivering complex projects within budget and on time.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage vendor relationships and contract agreements effectively.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders.
