Topside Lead

The FPSO Topside Leading service holder will demonstrate and execute a number of activities as per below:

Main Duties:

• The service holder will follow up the design, procurement and construction performed by the FPSO Contractor/Subcontractors related to topside ensuring all activities related to topside are well captured and properly addressed by the FPSO team.
• The service holder will actively liaise and collaborate with the FPSO engineering lead and all discipline engineers for all the development of the engineering and properly address issues in relation with topside modules development. Ensuring that procurement is properly followed up with the FPSO procurement lead and FPSO package lead by preparing and following-up and coordinating with the FPSO contraction Manager all matter related to construction aspect. Liaising with the FPSO Hull Lead, Interface Engineer and other Project Package for any interface item, will also be required.
• The service holder is responsible for ensuring that the elements within his/her scope are fit for the intended purpose, are operable, maintainable and reliable - within the budget and schedule for completion.
• The service holder is also responsible for ensuring that relevant certification and classification requirements are implemented by the FPSO Contractor/Subcontractors.
• The service holder will adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE, respect the Project HSE requirements and ensure application of HSE rules. He/she is also accountable for respecting HSSE rules and ensuring their application within his scope of responsibility.
• On engineering, the topside lead will liaise with the FPSO engineering lead for the development of the engineering associated with the topside modules. He/she will ensure engineering has been developed to meet availability target of the FPSO, safety of the personnel on board and maintenance/operation of the asset to the relevant standard.
• For procurement and subcontracts the FPSO topside lead will assist the FPSO procurement lead and the FPSO package leads for all aspects in relation with the procurement and subcontracts of the topside modules.
• With regards to construction, the FPSO topside lead will ensure with the FPSO construction lead that construction sequence optimized and construction standard meets COMPANY’s expectations. He/she will follow the topside construction progress, anticipate any issues and assist/prepare the topside integration along with the FPSO Hull lead.
• The service holder will take under consideration knowledge of International standard and norms, Company Rules and Project referential & Procedures, etc. related to FPSO Topside design and construction and their application to the GPI / Project.
• The service holder will ensure adequate and timely reporting to the FPSO Technical Manager (progress, concerns), and, as a general manner, shall anticipate problems, potential optimizations, or improvements and proposes solutions with regards to his/her discipline.
• The service holder will also liaise with the FPSO contract lead and seek his guidance for all contractual and procurement matters.
• The service holder will timely review the Topside engineering, procurement, construction and precommissioning related documentation issued by Contractor in order to ensure compliance with Project Specifications and Procedures (when applicable), international norms and standards with the objective to ensure respect of the schedule and to optimize costs without impacting required level of Quality and Safety.
• The service holder will participate to project reviews as requested by Company requirements (HAZOP, HAZID, SPOT, ODR, PTR...) and prepare or participate in Safety / Technical Audits.
• The service holder will ensure that contractual scope of work is duly and timely performed by Contractor(s). Ensures regular liaison with Contractor(s) with regards to disciplines-related matters. Participates to weekly and/or monthly coordination meetings with Contractor as appropriate. Ensures follow-up / review / validation of progress performed by Contractor/s within the relevant disciplines and analyses/reports drifts that could occur and propose remedial solution. • The Service holder will participate in the technical management for project execution with other concerned disciplines/packages/lead and with other leads for the execution of the works in offices and yard.
• The service holder will interface actively with all discipline engineers (Hull, Topsides and mooring Specialists) and other package engineers as necessary on all engineering, procurement, constructability, operability and maintainability matters, in order to ensure consistency of the work.

Experience:

• At least 20 years in Oil & Gas projects and 15 years in Topside EPC activities
