Job Purpose:
The IT Officer is responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the success of IT projects. This role focuses on supporting project implementation and delivering excellent client support to maintain high levels of satisfaction. The IT Officer will work closely with internal teams and external clients to understand requirements, resolve issues, and facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Support:
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Conduct technical assessments and contribute to the design and implementation of new systems and solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and align IT solutions with organizational objectives.
  • Provide regular project updates and documentation to stakeholders, including timelines, progress reports, and risk assessments.
  • Conduct testing and quality assurance for new systems, ensuring they meet client requirements and specifications.
  • Assist with post-implementation support, troubleshooting issues, and refining systems as needed.
  • Client Support:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, providing timely and professional responses to IT-related questions and concerns.
  • Offer technical support to clients, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network systems both remotely and on-site.
  • Conduct user training sessions to ensure clients understand system functionalities, tools, and best practices.
  • Collect and analyze client feedback to identify areas for improvement in services and solutions.
  • Document client interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system to maintain accurate records and ensure consistent support.
  • Monitor service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure client issues are resolved within agreed-upon timelines and standards.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Liaise with internal teams, including IT, project management, and customer service, to ensure a coordinated approach to client support.
  • Translate technical information into user-friendly language for clients and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide status updates and reports to management on client support activities, including common issues and resolutions.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in client support and project management.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve client support processes and enhance the client experience.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve technical skills and support capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT project support, client support, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of network systems, hardware, and software troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
