Operation Engineer, Leachate Treatment Plant

Looking for Operation Engineer with Certified Environmental Professional in Leachate Treatment Plant Operation (CePLTPO) for Waste To Energy (WTE) Plant in Lukut, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. The Operations Engineer (LTP) is responsible for managing and coordinating the operational activities of the Leachate Treatment Plant, ensuring its safe, reliable, and efficient operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To manage the operations of Leachate Treatment Plant (LTP) and co-ordinate the integration of maintenance activities, setting priorities on a daily basis and defining the operational concerns with regard to long term planning requirements
2. Provides proactive supervision to ensure the LTP is operating as to maintain safety, environmental, and operational priorities at the optimum production level
3. To ensure critical plant parameters are within the target and provide guidance and advice for corrective action in the event of any plant upsets or hiccups which include conducting investigation/troubleshooting
4. Take measures to keep sufficient levels of chemicals and consumables for daily plant operations
5. To properly plan for equipment handover to maintenance in order to achieve minimum equipment downtime
6. Develop & implement processes and optimize the plant process using best practice operational techniques.
7. Ensure permanent reliability of the process control and people supervisory systems.
8. Manage the Operations to meet KPIs and the day-to-day activities in plant process
9. Provide recommendations to improve safety, profitability and reliability of units.
10. Analyse operational incidents and make recommendations or changes in procedures to develop safe and efficient working practices for thermal, chemical, and physical chemical processes.
11. Maintain a high safety and quality conscious working environment and ensure compliance with all QHSE and legislative Health & Safety and Environmental requirements.
12. Ensure that operational reporting is conducted in accordance with the contractual requirements, management requirements and quality procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor’s degree or suitable technical qualification in Chemical or Plant Process Engineering.
2. Certified Environmental Professional in Leachate Treatment Plant Operation (CePLTPO)
3. Minimum 3 years of experience in the operation of Wastewater Treatment Plant
4. A detail knowledge of engineering practices, function and processes involved in Wastewater Treatment plant operation and maintenance.
5. A good understanding of necessary environmental controls and typical reporting requirements.
