Job Summary:

The Business Development Executive will lead a team of site acquisition executives to secure key locations for EV charging stations across Malaysia. The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in large-scale site acquisition from the telecoms industry and have strong team management skills. This role also requires collaboration with the permitting team to ensure compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Management: Lead and oversee a team of site acquisition executives to meet site deployment targets in a timely and efficient manner.

2. Site Acquisition: Manage the full process of identifying, negotiating, and securing sites for EV charging stations across Malaysia.

3. Contract Negotiations: Negotiate lease agreements and contracts with landlords and property owners, ensuring favourable terms and smooth transactions.

4. Permitting Collaboration: Work closely with the permitting team to ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained from local authorities.

5. Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain relationships with landlords, property owners, local authorities, and internal teams to ensure seamless site acquisition processes.

6. Strategic Planning: Align site acquisition efforts with the broader business development strategy to support company growth.

7. Reporting: Provide detailed reports and updates to the Head of Business Development on the progress and performance of the site acquisition team.

8. Problem Solving: Tackle complex acquisition challenges, including legal issues and site compliance, ensuring all issues are resolved efficiently.

Key Qualifications:

· Minimum 1-3 years of large-scale site acquisition experience within the telecoms industry.

· Team Leadership: Proven track record of managing and developing a team, with strong leadership skills.

· Legal Knowledge: In-depth understanding of contract negotiations and lease agreements.

· Collaboration Skills: Ability to effectively work with the permitting team and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth site acquisition.

· Industry Knowledge: Telecoms industry experience is essential, with familiarity in EV charging infrastructure being advantageous but not mandatory.

· Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to handle and resolve acquisition challenges, including legal disputes.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in business, Law, Engineering, or a related field.

· Strong Site Acquisition experience in the telecoms industry is essential.

· Familiarity with the EV infrastructure or similar industries is beneficial

· Knowledge of the regulatory and permitting landscape in Malaysia.
