Work you’ll do

• Manage business tax groups of two with a view to deliver seamless tax services to clients
• Review tax returns as well as conduct the following tasks - compliance and reporting, tax management and risk, as well as revenue and collection management
• Participate in business development initiatives and build strong internal relationships within the business tax compliance team and across other services line.
• Work closely with clients and liaise with various government agencies e.g. Inland Revenue Board, Ministry of Finance and other government agencies
• Lead teams on various client engagements in developing tax solutions, tax planning and strategies for multinational clients across a broad range of industries
• Anticipate and identify risks and escalate issues as appropriate.
• Help to create a positive learning culture, coaching and counselling junior team members.
• Perform other tasks as and when assigned

Requirements

• Possess minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in related disciplines such as tax, accounting, finance or related fields
• Must possess Professional Accounting Qualification, otherwise you are required to pursue one professional accounting qualification and complete within three years
• A minimum of eight years of experience, working in professional services, commercial or financial services environment (Big 4 experience is an advantage)
• Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Possess good organizational skills and able to prioritize work to meet tight deadlines
• Good analytical, research, interpersonal skills and leadership qualities; and
• Extensive technical experience, with an industry focus is a plus
