Job Responsibilities:

  • To develop system and all require documentation for compliance ISO 45001:2018 and get certification from SIRIM or Certification Bodies within 6 months.
  • To execute relevant OSH programme through planning, implementation, monitoring and continuous evaluation as to meet OSHA 1994 & FMA 1967 requirements and standard on annual basis to all USME project and servicing site.
  • To develop, response and lead the Organization in any OSH related emergency or crisis i.e. OSH related incident, Fire Safety, Road Safety and Pandemic cases in order to minimize impact and consequences.
  • To provide advice, direction and strategy to the Company on OSH Policies, Safety Promotion or other OSH Accident Prevention programme on annual basis.
  • To ensure reporting of all OSH issues to the Management and related Government agencies.
  • To investigate into any accident, incident, near miss accident, dangerous occurrences or occupational disease occurred within the Organization in compliance to NADOPOD Regulation 2004 requirements.
  • To develop, establish and execute Safety & Health Committee for the Organization and ensuring meeting were held on quarterly basis.
  • To develop, organize & provide OSH related trainings for employees and subcontractors in order to educate and instil the OSH awareness.
  • To manage subcontractors by impose certain system requirements and ensuring compliance through onsite inspection and audit.
  • To deal and liaise with all relevant OSH Authorities on any investigation, audit, inspection and training i.e. DOSH, Bomba, NIOSH and NGO’s.
  • To update, keep and maintain accurate records and documents

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Candidates register with DOSH and holding a valid Green Book.
  • Candidate holding professional certification eg NEBOSH, OSHA, CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or similar SSHE qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Minimum 7 Year(s) of working experience in SSHE management, preferably in a manufacturing field.
  • In-depth knowledge of Malaysian SSHE regulations (e.g., OSHA 1994, EQA 1974, FMA 1967) and international standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
  • Proficient in risk assessment methodologies, incident investigation techniques, and emergency response planning.
  • Proficient in using SSHE management systems, software tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with safety equipment, environmental monitoring tools, and security systems.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of handling documentation, reports, and regulatory filings.
  • Willingness to travel to different sites within Malaysia and work outside regular hours when necessary.
  • Fluent speaking and writing in English, Bahasa Malaysia.
