Overview

You will primarily undertake work in insolvency and restructuring engagements, including liquidations, receiverships, and monitoring accountant appointments.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor junior team members in the preparation of appointment documents and drafting of correspondence
  • Take control of, manage, and realize assets effectively
  • Liaise with all relevant parties, including company management, creditors, authorities, and solicitors
  • Participate in the ongoing operations of companies that continue to conduct business at the time of appointment
  • Review affidavits thoroughly
  • Prepare statutory reports with attention to detail
  • Provide input and solutions on engagements, including considered perspectives on issues and proposed resolutions
  • Proactively identify potential issues for discussion and resolution, demonstrating the ability to address matters independently

Education and professional skills / knowledge

Experience & Education:
  • A recognized degree in Business or equivalent with at least a second class upper classification and / or a Professional Accounting qualification
  • At least 2-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably gained in Audit. Experience in insolvency and restructuring engagements considered an advantage

Other skill:
  • Good communication and people management skills
  • Possessing an analytical mindset, problem solving skills as well as presentation skills
  • Strongly disciplined, self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Proficiency in Mandarin would be an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
