Provides expert advice, identifies functional and non-functional requirements, and interfaces with vendors and the enterprise architecture community to ensure the design of compliant solutions which meet business needs.
Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities
Drives the delivery of assigned IT implementation of strategic programs for specific vertical lines of business by collaborating with BC and IT contacts on approach for project and program involvement. Maintain understanding of the functionality and use of the IT application portfolio for most vertical lines of business involved in the programs and take direction from enterprise and functional area architects. Perform or execute given assignments. Engage with the enterprise architect and coach more junior enterprise architects to enable the Group Operations and IT governance processes providing architectural design approval and ensuring that the IT architectural standards and practices are followed throughout the project or program. Provide feedback and recommendations for the improvement of processes and systems to managers and enterprise architects.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems design, or software development, with at least 5 years in cloud architecture roles. Proven leadership experience in designing and deploying cloud-native solutions at an enterprise scale. At Zurich, we like to think outside the box and challenge the status quo.
