MIS Engineer

Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for Apple products and a knack for resolving complex hardware and OS issues? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our Mac-based infrastructure and provide exceptional support to our users.

Responsibilities:

1) MAC Hardware Troubleshooting and Maintenance:

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues on various Apple devices, including MacBooks, iMacs, and peripherals.
  • Perform regular hardware maintenance to keep our systems running optimally and extend their lifespan.

2) Monitoring, Analyzing, and Troubleshooting OS System Issues:

  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve OS-related issues.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of OS problems and implement effective solutions to enhance system stability.

3) Application Installation/Configuration and Training:

  • Assist users with the installation and configuration of applications on Mac systems.
  • Provide training sessions to help users maximize their productivity and utilize software efficiently, including printer settings and other peripherals.

4) Devices Security Compliance Check and Anomalies Monitoring:

  • Ensure Apple devices are compliant with security policies and industry best practices.
  • Monitor devices for any unusual activity or security breaches and take immediate action to mitigate risks.

5) Assisting with Devices Maintenance and Updates during Onboarding/Offboarding Processes:

  • Facilitate the smooth onboarding and offboarding of employees by configuring and updating their devices accordingly.

6) Assisting with Network and Telephone System Troubleshooting:

  • Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot network and telephone system issues that may impact Apple devices.

7) APAC MIS Issue Support:

  • Occasionally provide onsite and remote support for APAC (Asia-Pacific) region-related IT issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: ACiT (Apple Certified iOS Technician) and/or ACMT (Apple Certified Mac Technician) are highly desirable.
  • Experience: at 1 year of IT helpdesk or MIS experience, preferably in an Apple Repair Center handling MacBook repairs and parts replacement.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Jamf System and experience supporting server rooms is a plus.
  • Independent Worker: Able to work independently with minimal supervision, as this role will be the sole IT support for Malaysia.
  • Regional Support: Prior experience supporting APAC regions and willingness to travel for business trips when needed.
  • Languages: Fluent in both written and spoken English and Mandarin.
