Job Description

Executive, Health, Safety and Environmental is responsible to oversee CJSB compliance and performance related to Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental. This position is crucial to ensure the CJSB activities and processes are safe, and hazard & risks are kept minimum as low as reasonably practicable

Job Responsibilities

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Coordinator

  • Oversee, review, implement and minimize risk arising from CJSB Activities
  • Coordinate to Investigate incident, report preparation, and maintain incident records management.
  • Play OSH Coordinator functions, roles, & responsibilities as per Occupational Safety and Health Act.
  • Manage and monitor the implementation of HIP (Hazard Identification Program) for CJSB.
  • Promote a safe working culture and to raise HSE awareness towards a Generative Safety Culture.
  • Ensure HSSE consequence management framework is implemented and adhere for the entire CJSB Operations including staffs and contractors.
  • Establish and maintain good relationship with key stakeholders, Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).
  • Recognize and reward best HSE practices and give credit where possible.
    Other related task assigned by management.

Environmental

  • Monitor and maintain licenses issued by Department of Environment (DOE) and other legal requirements related to environment (the Environmental Quality Act (EQA) 1974 and its regulations, ISO 14001: 2004) for CJSB.
  • Monitor on CJSB’s licensing conditions, license application and to ensure timely submission to DOE for all legal documentations under the facilities licensing conditions or other legal requirements related to environment.
  • Planning, implementing, and improving the Environmental Monitoring Program for CJSB.
  • Handle on environmental issue within CJSB such as incident, spillage, and other plant’s daily activity.
  • Assist on liaising with plant personnel and residential people on any issue/ complaint.
  • Establish and maintain good relationship with key stakeholders, Department of Environment (DOE).
  • Must be comprehend with plant operation, license conditions, weather station and CEMS data for analysis and technical recommendation.
  • Other related tasks assigned by management.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma preferably in Occupational Safety and Health OR any discipline of Chemical and Environmental OR equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant to Occupational Safety and Health or Environment or related field
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organized and structured in maintaining documentations.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
