Quantity Surveyor

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team for an exciting new project tender. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the tender process by providing accurate cost estimations, ensuring competitive bids, and contributing to the success of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with the project team to understand project requirements and scope.

· Prepare detailed and accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates for the tender.

· Conduct thorough analysis of project documents, drawings, and specifications to identify cost implications and potential risks.

· Source and liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.

· Develop and present comprehensive cost breakdowns and pricing strategies to senior management for tender approval.

· Participate in pre-tender meetings and site visits to gain a clear understanding of project conditions and requirements.

· Ensure that all tender documents are accurately prepared, reviewed, and submitted within established deadlines.

· Assist in value engineering exercises to optimize project costs while maintaining quality standards.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive bid submissions.

· Provide post-tender clarifications and cost analysis as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

· Diploma and/or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying.

· Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.

· Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.

· Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

· Familiarity with construction regulations and industry standards.

• Well verse in both verbal and written communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia and other languages.

• Possess own transport and willing to travel
