Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive wholesale strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives and growth targets.
  • Identify and target potential wholesale clients and new distribution channels to drive business growth.
  • Cultivate relationships with universities, schools, B2B clients, and etc. enhancing the company’s market presence and expanding its customer base.
  • Develop and maintain strong, strategic relationships with existing and prospective wholesale clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • A key liaison between the company and its wholesale clients, addressing needs and resolving issues promptly.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms with wholesale clients to achieve mutually beneficial agreements while meeting the company’s profitability goals.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with company policies and legal standards.
  • Build the wholesale sales team, setting performance targets, and providing direction and training.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure efficient order fulfilment and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and logistics teams to streamline processes and address any fulfilment challenges.
  • Analyze sales data to identify key trends, customer behavior, and areas for potential growth.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute effective sales and promotional strategies tailored to wholesale markets.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities and market dynamics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in wholesale management or a related role in the book industry.
  • Proven track record in the sales and business development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in developing and implementing improvement strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and ability to prioritize tasks.

Working Conditions:

  • This position will be based at our HQ office in Section 33, Shah Alam
  • Working days are Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm.
  • The candidate should be prepared for flexibility when required, including working extra hours, weekends and public holidays, to ensure the successful execution of time-sensitive initiatives.
  • The candidate shall possess the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes.
