Job purpose

As a Business Development Executive, your primary responsibility will be to generate new business opportunities and drive revenue growth for our company. This role requires extensive travel both locally and internationally.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Attracting new clients by innovating and overseeing the sales process for the business.
  • Working with senior team members to identify and manage company risks that might prevent growth.
  • Identifying and researching opportunities that come up in new and existing markets.
  • Preparing and delivering pitches and presentations to potential new clients.
  • Combining efforts and fostering a collaborative environment within the business as a whole.
  • Communicating with clients to understand their needs and offer solutions to their problems.
  • Creating positive, long-lasting relationships with current and potential clients.
  • Running outbound campaigns (phone calls, emails, etc.) to create sales opportunities.
  • Developing and presenting proposals customized for each client’s specific business needs.
  • Ensuring excellent customer service through regular client follow up.
  • Developing rapport with key decision makers.
  • Owning the sales lifecycle from prospecting to implementation.
  • Managing virtual and in-person sales meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, prepare regular sales reports, and provide accurate sales forecasts to the management team.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and maximize client satisfaction.
  • Execute ad-hoc duties when required.
  • Requirements and skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business, sales, marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good team player with ability to lead a team and work effectively in a cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia both spoken and written. Mandarin is an added advantage.
  • Flexible and able to think out the box, contribute to brain storming sessions.
  • Willing to travel outstation when required.
