Purpose of the position:
- To support the development of Engineering and HSE systems within NovaAir Industrial Gases.
- The intern will assist in document management, system development, and gain exposure to the operation of industrial gases plants during pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.
- The candidate is expected to report to the Head of Engineering /HSE Lead full time.
Principle responsibilities:
- System Development – Support the development of Engineering, Technical, and HSE systems.
- Document Management – Assist in the development and organization of company documents and systems, gaining insight into typical industry practices.
- Adaptation Work – Help in adapting documentation from Group standards to Regional requirements.
- Plant Commissioning Support – Participate in new plant commissioning activities within your discipline, e.g., mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, process, or process safety.
- Project Support – Assist in various projects, including ISO system development and ASU plant installation projects.
2. Exposure / Learning:
- Design Experience – Gain hands-on experience in the design of gases manufacturing, supply, distribution, and application systems.
- Process Understanding – Learn about the processes of Air Separation Units (ASU), Hydrogen Electrolyzers, and unique Pressure Swing Absorption (PSA) plants.
- Production Exposure – Get exposed to the production processes and dynamics of industrial gases/liquids such as Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen, Argon, and Carbon Dioxide.
- Rare Gases – Learn about the production of rare gases like Neon, Krypton, and Xenon.
- Operational Exposure – Gain exposure to the operation of on-site industrial gases plants during pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Preferably Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical, or any other equivalent engineering course).
- Own transportation is required for potential outstation travel.
- English / Malay proficiency is required. Fluency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
