Job Description
· Projecting cost estimates on various materials needed for a project.
· Preparing contracts, legal tender documents, invoices, and other documentation.
· Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
· Measure and value the work done on site.
· Select and/or source construction materials.
· Liaising with site managers, site engineers, and other necessary people to ensure the project follows to the timeline.
· Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client.
· Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
· Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies.
· Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
· Advise on a procurement strategy.
· Identify, analyze and develop responses to commercial risks.
· Prepare and analyze costings for tenders.
· Allocate work to subcontractors.
· Assist clients in locating and accessing additional and alternative sources of funding.
· Enable clients to initiate construction projects.
· Advice on the maintenance costs of specific buildings.
· Preparation and submission of budgetary estimates from tender drawings, Bill of Quantities for all disciplines and costs estimation, progress claim, variation order, evaluation of claims, etc.
· Prepare award of contracts, check contract documents and to recommend contractor's valuations.
· Monitor on amendments to the scope of works and conditions of contract, variation order and apply extension of time if necessary.
· Acquire quotation from contractor and suppliers for purpose of cost assessment, analysis or budgeting.
· Collaborate with client, consultant, suppliers and sub-contractors.
· Attend site valuation, site measurement and regular meetings when necessary.
· Prepare/verify payment certificates and finalize final account of projects.
· Keeping track of materials and ordering more when required.
Requirements
· Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying.
· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
· Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
· Fresh Graduate or 1 – 2 years of working experience.
· Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
· Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· Good communications (writing and oral) and interpersonal skills.
· Strong organizational and planning skills.
· Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
