Job Summary: We seek a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Buyer/Supply Chain Specialist to join our team. This role involves sourcing, purchasing, managing suppliers, and inventory to ensure our company’s operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain processes, negotiation skills, and the ability to analyze market trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and Procurement:
-Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery capabilities.
-Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
-Manage and maintain supplier relationships to ensure quality and compliance.
- Inventory Management:
-Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure optimal stock levels.
-Collaborate with inventory management teams to streamline procurement processes.
- Market Analysis:
-Conduct market research to identify trends and new opportunities.
-Analyze purchasing data to develop cost-saving strategies and improve purchasing efficiency.
- Collaboration and Communication:
-Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and finance, to align procurement strategies with business goals.
-Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and quality issues.
- Compliance and Reporting:
-Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations in procurement practices.
-Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Min. 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, SAGE specifically)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Supplemental Pay:
- Yearly bonus
