Job description

• Act as customers interface for advanced care service delivery and support often in several areas countries.

• Provide on-site and telephone technical support on optical transport and network management products on site at a single customer location.

• Ability to work in a 24 x 7 environment where on-call duty on evenings and weekends is required to minimize downtime and restore services as quickly as possible.

• Handling assigned and closed the cases within SLA timeframe.

• Involve and Lead in assigned project and work independently to deliver the tasks with minimal supervision.

• Testing of DWDM line systems deployments, calibration, verification, OSA, BERT, OTDR etc.

• Analysis and troubleshooting the root cause problem of DWDM, Packet and Fiber Optics Technology

• Consistence communication between Vendor, Customer and Internal Department

• Evaluate product performance and serviceability in order to contribute to the design of new or modified products.

• Create, review, validate and publish required customer facing documents such as Method of Procedures (MOPS) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports.

• Assist with sub-contract to complete the projects.

• Oversee and execute planned network maintenance work, minimizing impact to services.

• Manage and implement optical DWDM network components using NMS and devices specific interfaces (CLI/GUI.)

• Commissioning and Provisioning of complex customer services in accordance with service orders.

• Travel may be required.

Key competencies

• Strong knowledge and experiences in SDH, DWDM, Packet and Optical Technology

• Strong knowledge and experience in Dark Fiber Optics

• Fundamental and understanding of Optical Layer (L0/ L1), Router & Switch (L2/ L3), Protection, Metro Ethernet, MPLS, TCP-IP

• Strong knowledge and experiences in using Tester/ Testing Tools such Traffic Tester, OSA, OTDR

• Have an experience in one of Optical Vendor Product: Huawei, Ciena, Nokia, ZTE, Infinera, Coriant or ADVA

• Excellence in Analysis and Problem solving.

Requirements

i) Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in IT/ Networking/ Telecommunication/ Electric & Electronic/ Computer System

• Minimum 2 years working experience in Optical Networking Products

• Minimum 3 years working experience in Customer Service Orientation

• Working experiences with Telco Operator
