We are looking for a strong LCL Product Development Manager based in Malaysia, where our Hub is located to support the targeted growth of LCL market in South East Asia.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth Enablement

  • Build strategy to engage with sales to enable them to sell LCL
  • Identify market trends, opportunities, and customer needs and work with network team to grow in those markets
  • Own the execution of global initiatives and strategy within the Country
  • Build bridges between Product development, Operations and Sales
  • Manage capacity and product offering in accordance to market needs
  • Carrier and Customer Relationship Management / Procurement
  • Support the Center (CEN) function in maintaining carrier relations
  • Drive cost reductions by optimal allocation with carriers and contracts
  • Actively build strong relationships with customers
  • Manage vendor relationships with global Coload partners and have country specific strategy alignment for growth and service deliverable

Pricing Management

  • Drive product with Sales, Delivery & Customer Experience (CX) community
  • Country responsibility for LCL Pricing activities incl. but not limited to Price setting
  • Work for conversion and retention of tender opportunities
  • Strategy and Margins, cost saving initiatives. Work out the market competitive origin and destination charges for 1st and last mile activities
  • Ensure country pricing in compliance with global governance

Operations Execution

  • Ensuring team adheres to the standard process and customer specific IOP’s and monitors respective KPI’s
  • Standard processes – Implementation of standard processes and systems within the country/area and ensuring documentation is in place

Performance Management

  • Manage and improve the performance of the Service/Product in the area
  • Product profitability - Focus on maximize revenue, EBIT and GP through upselling and cost management

People Management

  • Drive a strong community and collaboration across products (lead across functional and organizational boundaries) and Functions

We’re looking for

  • Minimum 8 years freight forwarding/NVOCC experience, with key understanding and experience in LCL development and execution.
  • LCL market knowledge in South East Asia is highly advantageous (Singapore/Malaysia/Indonesia/Philippines)
  • Strong analytical mindset and exceptional prioritization skills for time-critical tasks.
  • Ability to independently organize and structure daily work, efficiently managing workload with agility.
  • The candidate we are looking for must have good communication, networking, and interpersonal skills that they can use to connect with a diverse range of stakeholders both internally and externally.
