- Plan, implement and manage the environmental, health and safety system to ensure compliance with statutory and company regulations and procedures
- In collaboration with other departments and/or 3rd parties, identifies, analyzes, evaluates and advises ways to decrease the health, safety and/or environment risks related to working conditions, installations, product
- Responsible for recording and reporting of any incidents or accidents related to safety and environment. Investigate the notifications, define preventive and corrective actions and follows up on implementation
- To review ISO45001 (Health and Safety Management System) and ISO14001 (Environmental Management System) to ensure proper implementation of its activities
- Coordinating and supervising the running of HSE Committee and its activities
- Internally gives training related to health, safety and/or environment topics, selects and coordinates external HS&E training and promotes safe and environment-friendly working conditions towards the organization
- Plan, monitor and conduct HSE inspection, audit (eg. DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, Health Department and related government regulatory agencies.)
- Conduct periodic safety meetings and audits to ensure compliance with HSE requirements
- Compile safety statistics report and make recommendations to the Management for continuous improvements
- Perform and review risk analysis for safety, health and environment and enforce preventive measures
- Responsible to lead in incident investigation (root cause analysis).
- Coordinate for performance monitoring of air pollution control system and wastewater treatment
- Responsible for scheduling waste management in the plant
- Perform gas testing tasks for hot work and confined space when requested
- Perform other related duties from to time as instructed by the superior
- Support Manager in developing and implementing Security Plan according to Corporate Security Policy and standards
- Collaborate with other departmental HODs to drive improvement in Physical Security Management, Fire & Life Safety Systems and Emergency Response
- Monitor and ensure all security systems are running, i.e. Integrated Security Systems such as CCTV, Visitor Management System, Access Control System, Emergency Door Alarm and Key Management.
- Supervise all security workforce personnel
Requirement
- Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in engineering/science or Health Safety and Environment
- Familiarize with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OSHA 1994, FMA 1967 and any other related regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office (Words, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Documentation
- Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
- Strong communication skills
- Obtained Green bookholder added value
- Willing to travel to Pulau Indah, Port Klang
