JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (SUMMARY)

To support the Head of Department (HOD) in managing, developing, and sustaining effective working relationships with TERAJU’s stakeholders, including federal ministries & agencies, state government authorities & agencies, higher education institutions, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO), private sector businesses, community groups and other key parties relevant to TERAJU’s objectives. The role aims to enhance the agility and competitiveness of the start-up and mid-tier Bumiputera companies ecosystem, in line with TERAJU’s mandate as an implementing agency.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will be responsible for the following:

  • Assist in cultivating and maintaining strong working relationships with TERAJU’s key stakeholders, including federal and state government ministries and agencies, higher education institutions, NGOs, private sector businesses, community groups, and other relevant parties.
  • Support the planning and execution of various stakeholder engagement initiatives, such as roadshows, exhibitions, workshops, roundtable discussions, forums, and similar events.
  • Assist in developing, updating, maintaining, and monitoring core stakeholder materials and other documents as required by supervisors (example: official letters/MEMOs, parliamentary Q&A, Annual Business Plan, Key Performance Indicator (KPI), etc.)
  • Provide secretarial support to the TERAJU Management Committee and Mesyuarat Majlis Ekonomi Bumiputera (MEB), Mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Pemandu MEB (JPMEB), and Mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Kerja MEB (JKMEB) including preparing meeting agendas, coordinating venues, writing minutes, and handling other administrative duties as directed by the supervisors.
  • Assist the Stakeholder Management Department, TERAJU Sabah Regional Office, and TERAJU Sarawak Regional Office with day-to-day operations, administrative tasks, and other functions as required by the supervisor.
  • Respond to information requests, donations, sponsorship inquiries, and collaboration proposals in writing, via email, telephone, or in person.
  • Collaborate effectively with both internal and external divisions/ departments, and project team members to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Undertake special assignments, ad-hoc tasks, and related duties as assigned by the supervisors.
  • Represent TERAJU at meetings, events, and workshops as required.
  • REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s Degree in any field.

    • At least 1 year of relevant working experience.

    • Good interpersonal and communication skills and excellent in both written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English.

    • Good research capabilities, analytical and presentation skills.

    • Organised and able to work independently and multi-task.

    • Positive attitude with high learning ability and able to take on new challenges/responsibilities.
