Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Account Executive with experience in the construction industry to manage financial and accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting the financial health of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Monitor and manage cash flow and project budgeting.
- Process invoices, payments, and monitor collections.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure accurate tracking of construction project costs and financial performance.
- Reconcile bank statements, company ledgers, and accounts.
- Assist with tax filing, audits, and compliance with relevant financial regulations.
- Prepare and submit financial reports to management in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and bankers.
Qualifications:
- Education: Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Skills:
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, MYOB, or similar).
- Excellent knowledge of construction project costing and financial management.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and auditing processes.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with construction-specific accounting software.
- Knowledge of local tax regulations and financial compliance.
- Familiarity with managing multiple projects simultaneously.
