Job Descriptions

  • Responsible for all aspects of the purchasing operation, including procurement, stock management, and managing cost efficiencies in line with budget expectations.
  • Source and select suppliers based on quality, pricing, and reliability criteria through research and networking.
  • Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in specifications, quantities, delivery dates, and payment terms
  • Strategize and optimize stock levels to mitigate the risk of shortages or excess inventory.
  • Analyse purchasing data, trends, and supplier performance to identify opportunities and process improvements.
  • Ensure that purchased goods and services meet the required quality standards and compliance with relevant procurement laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Identify areas for process enhancement and propose improvements to procurement strategies and policies for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Handle Sales & Customer Service inquiries and provide timely and accurate information to address customer concerns.
  • Manage and coordinate payments with suppliers, ensuring compliance with payment terms and supplier agreements.
  • Liaise with forwarders, warehouse personnel, and inventory teams to facilitate smooth inventory operations, including receipt, storage, and distribution.
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, and manage supplier relationships.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best deals
  • Handle any discrepancies or issues with received products and coordinate returns or exchanges as necessary.
  • Work within the allocated budget to make cost-effective purchasing decisions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their purchasing needs and requirements.
  • Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities, market conditions, and supplier performance.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma/ Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or any other related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and able to handle datelines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Possess teamwork, time management, analyzing and observation skills.
  • Proficient in Mandarin is added advantage
  • Computer literacy in procurement software and MS Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc)
