Data Center Operations Engineer

Job Responsibility:

• Responsible for the day-to-day department's operations, administration and task assignment within and cross department.
• Assist in managing data center department's operations, focusing on finances, cost control, SOPs, employee management and training.
• Oversee and supervise office environments and systems, reporting issues to personnel concerned.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of all products and services offered by the organisation to ensure service quality, efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist in planning and implementing strategic plans to achieve objectives and timelines based on customer requirements.
• Set up and configuration on hardware equipment including server and storage, manage hardware systems including BIOS, remote access, RAID configuration and basic configuration of various operating system.
• Perform basic networks setup, configuration and verification.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot server and equipment performance.
• Support data retention, capacity planning and operational task.
• Manage asset and inventory including IT equipment within the organisation.
• Undertake project assignments with team to deliver enterprise solutions and project implementation.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of data center operational procedures and processes.
• Test new technologies, present IT support service reports, and manage data center supplies.
• Install and configure software and hardware systems for internal user, and manage user accounts and passwords.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills, team player, self-motivation, and good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma Graduate/Professional Degree specialised in IT/Computer or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge on server component, inventory and network structure
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English.
• Required knowledge in Microsoft 365
• Strong communication skills, team player, self-motivated with good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
