Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly qualified Head of Finance & Admin to lead our finance & admin department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in financial leadership roles and a proven track record of success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization's goals and objectives.
- Monitor financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Manage budgeting processes, including forecasting, variance analysis, and budget consolidation.
- Supervise the accounting executive in day-to-day operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with authorities and company policies.
- Review and analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
3. Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes, including pricing strategies, investment opportunities, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Prepare financial models, forecasts, and projections to assess business performance and identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual operating plans and long-term financial strategies.
4. Fundraising:
- Develop and execute fundraising strategies to secure funding for organizational initiatives, projects, and programs.
- Cultivate relationships with donors, investors, and funding partners to expand the organization's financial resources.
- Lead fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives to engage stakeholders and raise awareness about the organization's mission and impact.
5. Risk Management:
- Identify and assess financial risks, including market, credit, liquidity, and operational risks.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies to mitigate potential threats to the organization's financial stability.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures and adjust strategies as needed to address emerging risks.
6. Compliance and Regulatory Management:
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
- Implement internal controls and procedures to mitigate financial risks and safeguard company assets.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies during audits and inspections.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial leadership roles, with a strong background in finance and accounting.
- Proven track record of successfully starting and implementing finance and accounting departments from scratch.
- Prior experience in fintech is preferred, with a deep understanding of industry dynamics.
- Intangible asset accounting expertise and experience in crypto conversion are considered advantageous.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities are essential.
