Global European Market Leader in Power Distribution Solutions is Hiring a Senior / Sales Engineer for the Malaysia Market

We are a global leader in power distribution protection, monitoring, control, and systems, and we're looking for a dynamic Senior / Sales Engineer to drive growth and meet revenue objectives in Malaysia. This is a key role in consolidating our market presence in the region.

Location: Penang or Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and Grow Existing Customers: Build and strengthen relationships with current clients, while proactively developing new customer accounts to expand our presence in the Malaysia market.
  • Strategic Market Development: Identify and execute strategies to generate leads and uncover opportunities in targeted markets.
  • Customer Collaboration: Work closely with customers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Internal Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Market Research & Forecasting: Conduct in-depth market analysis and provide insightful feedback to the Sales Director for business planning.
  • Product Expertise & Presentation: Confidently present and demonstrate our products to customers, driving sales growth.
  • Sales-Driven Mindset: Focus on achieving sales targets, with a "hunter" mentality for acquiring new business.
  • Reporting: Provide weekly updates and reports to the Sales Director.
  • Training & Product Knowledge: Organize training sessions for vendors, distributors, and customers; stay informed about new product launches and developments.
  • Additional Duties: As assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred).
  • Sales Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of relevant sales experience, ideally in the OEM, electronics, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of low-voltage electrical products and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in B2B sales, with a focus on growing new business.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a team-player mentality.
  • Motivation & Initiative: Results-driven and highly proactive, with the ability to work independently.
  • SME Experience: Experience working within a small-to-medium-sized enterprise (SME) environment is preferred.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel within Malaysia and the region as required.
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English.
  • Transportation: Must possess own car
  • Citizenship: Must be a Malaysian Citizen
