About the Job

As a Senior Engineer – Piping Stress, you will report directly to the Piping Stress Lead on assigned projects. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Preparing Job Specifications for Stress Analysis.
- Ensuring all work complies with International Codes & Standards, Technip’s HSE & QA requirements, Client Specifications, and Project Requirements.
- Preparing lists of critical lines and Stress Calculation Notes.
- Collaborating with Piping Designers on pipe routing to meet stress analysis requirements, including recommending support types (anchors, guides, springs, sliding plates, etc.).
- Ensuring all piping systems are adequately supported and specifying special supports as necessary.
- Advising the Lead on the need for expansion joints, bellows, and other special units.
- Liaising with Mechanical Engineers regarding nozzle loads on equipment.
- Preparing specifications, data sheets, and MR’s TBT’s for vendor-supplied special support items.
- Assisting in man-hour estimates and advising the Lead Stress Engineer on project manning requirements.
- Staying updated on developments in pipe stress and flexibility analysis.
- Preparing updates or improvements to Stress Section standards, procedures, or guidelines.
- Reviewing support types and locations indicated on IFC isometrics in accordance with approved Stress Isometrics.

About You

Must Have:
- Recognized Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical fields, particularly in EPC projects and FPSO jobs.
- Proficiency in piping stress analysis using CAESAR II.
- Experience with manual calculation methods and the use of nomographs and tables for assessing piping flexibility.
- Knowledge of piping engineering, including pipe wall thickness calculations, branch connection reinforcement checks, pipe support selection, and equipment nozzle load evaluations.
- Ability to assess pipe routings for stress and support requirements.
- Familiarity with Industry Piping Codes and Standards, and Industry Equipment Codes.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding PI&D requirements.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Organized, methodical, and detail-oriented.
- Strong team player with a solid work ethic.
- Proactive and willing to take initiative.
- Strong multi-tasking, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Nice to Have:
- Technical expertise in Piping Engineering and Piping Design requirements.
- Experience with model review tools (Navisworks, Smart Plant, etc.).
- Experience in brownfield projects.
- Familiarity with FEA tools such as Nozzle Pro, FE Pipe, or others.
- Proficiency in Excel Macros and VBA.
