The primary role of the Research Executive is to perform deep evaluation and research of mainstream and social media data (article coding/ ticket sentiment analysis) and provide written summaries in English and Bahasa Malaysia for client report production using a quantitative methodology.

  • Mainstream and social media data coding
    • Assisting in producing report by going through assigned data to identify relevant key information required for data analysis and have the data delivered accurately and in a timely manner
  • Provide written summaries in English/ Bahasa Malaysia
    • Providing written summaries in English/ Bahasa Malaysia, which may help in report production
  • Compliance

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Chinese, and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Able to read Chinese Characters.
  • Degree in Communications, Communications Research, Business, Statistics, Journalism or other related Social Sciences.
  • Preferably with 1-2 years experience in media, market research or related industry.
  • Excellent reading, comprehension, and analytical skills with an ability to summarise key issues and themes from media articles as well as organise and prioritise work according to tight deadlines.
  • Strong interest in news and current affairs.
